When I was younger I was never the type to care about what I looked like or what I wore. I can pretty much say the thing for my brother and my cousin Ken. I use to cringe when people would bring up old photos of me from middle school or early high school. I’ve heard lighthearted-smack about everything from my buttondown-shirts that were begging for puberty to strike, to my awkward mustache (that one being the crowd favorite topic). But going forward I thank the days I thought wearing studded belts and double-tongue converse were cool, cause 1: I can say I’ve done it before and 2: I now know to never do it again. This is simply a pic of how much we’ve changed over the years. Enjoy, haha.
Panel 1: The idgaf years. That we didn’t.
Panel 2: We did give a fcuk, but just all wrong. (haha)
Panel 3: My lacoste polo and plaid shorts say it all. Ken’s pirate shirt and vest …
Panel 4: The days when Streetwear was King. (I do miss these days). We just needed haircuts.
Panels 5 and 6: (what I’d title of the photo) How Far We’ve ComeLet’s be thankful for @RalphPortillano’s styling advise during those awkward years, @OurPayChecks, and @HDCameras for the progress.
We’ve grown up with one another. I guess our style would be what Kenneth Camara described his own style as in Hunter College’s The Bridge Magazine, “My style’s pretty clean. Right now, I’m leaning towards preppy.”
cheers.
